Rule #4:
RESPECT YOUR ELDERS
Koreans make an effort to honor and respect their elders and superiors. When sitting down to a meal or to drinks, it’s important to offer the best seat to the most senior person there, and to be sure to serve them first- under no circumstances should anyone at the table take a drink before the senior person there does (usually following a brief toast). And keep in mind- an “elder” can be someone only a few years older than you are!
