There’s a saying that, roughly translated, says “don’t stop at one, three lacks, five is proper, seven’s too much,” referring to glasses of soju. It’s completely acceptable to get good and drunk, even with business superiors, colleagues, and elders, but it’s never a good idea to get so drunk one loses control.
